Our Furniture-Making Story

Heritage Woodworking

The Pursuit of Hardwood Perfection

InWooden started in 2001 as a small custom furniture workshop in Manzoor Colony, right when most of Karachi's market was shifting toward cheap particle board and veneer. We stuck with solid wood on purpose — it costs more upfront, but a sheesham bed or walnut wardrobe from InWooden is still standing, and still looking good, fifteen or twenty years later.

Today we work with locally sourced Sheesham (rosewood) alongside imported Ash, Oak, Walnut and Teak. Every log is checked by hand for grain, density and moisture before it goes into our seasoning kilns — the same process we set up back in 2012, and one most furniture shops in Karachi still skip.

How We Build Solid Wood Furniture

Good furniture takes time. Here's the process behind every custom wooden furniture piece that leaves our Karachi workshop.

01
Log Procurement & Analysis
We purchase logs directly from managed plantations. We focus on cut thickness and look for complex swirl patterns in Sheesham and grain clarity in imported Ash.
02
Kiln Seasoning & Treatment
Raw lumber is dried inside local seasoning plants to reach a stable moisture count of 8-12%. This removes internal tension and guarantees the wood will never split or wrap.
03
Structural Joinery cutting
Timber pieces are planed and shaped. Masters use traditional joinery connections: mortise and tenons, drawer dovetails, and biscuit alignments.
04
Polishing & Organic Finishes
Wood surfaces are sanded by hand through multiple grit grades. We apply premium matte clear coats, organic oils, and protective waxes to seal the timber pores.
Core Philosophy

Our Mission & Values

01

Uncompromising Quality

We refuse to use MDF, chipboard, or commercial veneers. Our commitment is entirely centered on premium seasoned solid wood timber and architectural joinery.

02

Bespoke Architectural Integration

We believe furniture is an extension of home architecture. Every dimension, profile curvature, and timber tone is customized to merge with your interior design.

03

Heritage Conservation

By hand-crafting furniture with lifetime structural warranties, we design pieces that stay in the family for decades, reducing waste and preserving wood heritage.
